Autumn Concerts 2025
27th September, 2025
Leora Cohen (violin) and Adrian Partington (piano/organ)
Leora is a brilliant violinist, a double first class from Cambridge University and has been awarded two diplomas with distinction by the Royal College of Music in London. Her accompanist is Adrian Partington is Gloucester Cathedral’s Director of Music, conductor of the Three Choirs Festival and an organ soloist with the Berlin and BBC Philharmonic orchestras. Their concert first half will be Leora with violin and Adrian organ, the second half will be Leora with Adrian playing piano.

Joss Wort (piano)
A very welcome return from our own Yatton piano protégé recently graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD). Joss’s programme includes music by Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert

West Mendip Orchestra
The West Mendip Orchestra is one of Somerset’s principal amateur orchestras based in Winscombe, The concert will include music by Schumann, Dvorak, Glazunov, and Finzi’s eclogue. Their conductor and pianist will be John Johnson.
The West Mendip Orchestra’s concert is supported by Yatton Parish Council.
Spring Concerts 2026
31st January 2026
Jo Harris (trumpet) and Daniel King Smith (piano/organ)
Jo has played alongside international chamber ensembles as well as performing as a solo artist. Her accompanist Daniel King Smith has held staff accompanist posts at both Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music. Their proposed repertoire will include Baroque classics alongside lighter, engaging music.
28th February 2026
CarmenCo Trio: Emily Andrews (flute & mezzo), Francisco Correa & David Massey (guitars).
CarmenCo will perform their ‘Pocket Opera’ concert presented as a play, with costumes, props and a storyline roughly following Bizet’s Carmen. Their performance will enchant the audience with movement, dance, humour and storyline, all accompanied with flute, guitars and song.
The CarmenCo Trio is supported by the Paragon Music Trust.

Alastair Penman (saxophone) and Jonathan Pease (piano)
Alastair is Professor of Saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His musical life covers solo, ensemble, orchestral, jazz groups and composing. His accompanist Jonathan Pease is also a composer and their first album as a duo in 2023 has been described by critics as “an extended dazzling display of talent”

Kallos String Quartet
Four experienced Bath based chamber musicians led by Lucy Hewson have played together for 20 years. They include the Pump Room (daily at the Georgian Pump Room) and the Bath String Academy.

Meg Davies (clarinet) and Catherine Millege (piano)
This will be the final concert for Yatton Music Society’s Spring season and will be an evening of French music which Meg Davies (clarinet) and Catherine Millege (piano) who have themed their concert ‘Sous les étoiles’. Their performance will include music from French composers selected to please the audience with soothing melodies interwoven with dramatic climaxes.
Meg is a first class honours graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Catherine teaches and accompanies at the RWCM&D and at Cardiff University. She also undertakes freelance work for Welsh National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
